Golden Retriever

The Golden Retriever is a large-sized breed of dog bred as gun dogs to retrieve shot waterfowl such as ducksand upland game birds during hunting and shooting parties, and were named 'retriever' because of their ability to retrieve shot game undamaged. Golden Retrievers have an instinctive love of water, and are easy to train to basic or advanced obedience standards. They are a long-coated breed, with a dense inner coat that provides them with adequate warmth in the outdoors, and an outer coat that lies flat against their bodies and repels water. Golden Retrie
vers are well suited to residency in suburban or country environments. Although they need substantial outdoor exercise, they should be housed in a fenced area because of their instinctual tendency to roam. The dog sheds copiously, particularly at the change of seasons, and requires fairly regular grooming.
The breed is a prominent participant in conformation shows for purebred dogs. The Golden Retrievers' intelligence makes them a versatile breed and allows them to fill a variety of roles – common ones being guide dog for the blind, hearing dog for the deaf, hunting dog, detection dog, and search and rescue participant. The breed's friendly, gentle temperament means it is unsuited to being a professional guard dog, but its temperament has also made it the third-most popular family dog breed (by registration) in the United States, the fifth-most popular in Australia,[and the eighth-most popular in the United Kingdom.]Golden Retrievers are rarely choosy eaters, but require ample exercise (of two or more hours a day). The breed is fond of play but also highly trainable

Samoyed

TodayI am going to talk about dog of the Samoyed.

The Samoyed is a gentle dog. Very devoted, easygoing, friendly and quite playful, it loves everyone. It will gladly be friendly to all, including intruders. It is too friendly to be of much use as a watchdog, although its bark will alert you to the presence of strangers. When Samoyed become bored, it may begin to dig. The breed is characterized by an alert and happy expression which has earned the nicknames "Sammie smile" and "smiley dog."

Samoyed can compete in dog agility trials, carting, obedience, showmanship, fly ball, tracking, mushing and herding events. Herding instincts and trainability can be measured at noncompetitive herding tests. When this dog is given what it needs to be a stable-minded dog, i.e. enough mental and physical exercise, along with clear leadership, it proves itself to be outstanding, good-natured, lively and sociable.

skill to train

Dog Training is a Technical Skill: Treat Delivery SpeedHave you ever been watching professional tennis or golf on TV with a friend and then suddenly heard him blurt, “I swing just like that but that’s not where the ball goes. Those players must have special equipment that makes it work.”
I’m guessing, probably not, unless your friends have mashed potatoes for brains. Most people understand that the reason professionals are able to make consistent and stellar shots is that they have skills that they build up through many hours of practice, coaching, and drills.
However, when it comes to dog training or behavior modification, it’s the complete opposite. Owners will watch a video, such as one on my web site, and say, “I do exactly that but my reactive dog barks and lunges in that situation instead of focusing on me.” What they fail to realize is that training dogs is a technical skill just like dance, golf, tennis, or figure skating. Often when something looks as simple as a sit-spin in ice-skating or a perfectly placed serve in tennis, it’s actually much more complex. It’s not until owners try the techniques under the watchful of eye of a skilled instructor that they find out that the problem is not the dog or the technique, it’s them.

cute dog worth £1,600

A ridiculously cute dog (that looks just like a tiny mini bear) has been stolen from a London home after he became an online hit – racking up over 2.5million views on image site Imgur.
Misiu the Chow Chow dog was bought as a gift by Jamie Green six weeks ago for his girlfriend and was stolen from his home in Stanmore, London on Wednesday this week.
Mr Green told MailOnline: ‘I called his name, but when I went into the kitchen I saw the window was smashed and there was glass everywhere. It started to dawn on me that he might have been stolen.
‘I’m worried that someone saw his picture or his profile online and targeted my house deliberately. I just hope he is being looked after. He is so precious to me.’

Heroic dogs

Hi guys. Dogs are not just a cute pet that is running around in your house or sleeping all day long, they are actually heroes in many cases that make you really thankful and proud of having them in your lives. Today im going to share with you some pretty touching stories about heroic dogs and how they saved lives.

Brutis was a 7 year old golden retriever when he became a hero in 2004. That's when the loveable pooch snatched up a coral snake as it was slithering dangerously close to a young child, suffering a near-deadly bite from the snake in the process. His heroics did not go unnoticed however, as Brutis was promptly flown to Los Angeles to recieve the National Hero Dog award.

In a nearly unbelievably story titled " Dog makes cellphone to save his owner's life , readers learn about Belle, a beagle who literally bit "911" into his owner's cell phone after the diabetic man collapsed from a seizure, who became the first canine to win VITA's Wireless Samaritan Award. Evidently, the pooch had been trained to bite down on the phone's keypad in the event of an emergency.
All dogs are known for their super-sharp hearing, but most of them don't win awards for it. But when Nellie, a 4 year old black lab, used her high powered ears to detect a intruder in time to save her severely deaf owner, it would've been a crime to give the Heroic Hearing Dog of the Year award to anyone else. The charity that trained Nellie couldn't have been more proud.

So take care of your dogs and treat them well if you have one at home because they are deserved to be loved that way!

Guide dogs

Hi guys, another week has almost passed. Today when I was out to chill with my friends, I saw a blind man with a guide dog crossing the road and was thinking of doing some readings about guide dogs, in which ways they are beneficial to visually impaired people and what makes them one of the most beloved pets in the world. This actually added to what has been earlier written by Xinchen in the previous post and for sure, these additional information is pretty interesting as well.
The first guide dog training schools were established in Germany during World War I to enhance the mobility of returning veterans who were blinded in combat. Guide dogs especially come with a variety of benefits and help in many ways.Becoming the ‘seeing eyes’ for the blind and those with low vision, guide dogs play a wonderful role in helping blind people enjoy a certain amount of independence. They give a blind person more confidence, friendship, and security. By having a guide dog, blind people feel much more confident in their daily life and the guide dogs usually act like a close friend to them, accompanying them to anywhere they go. The blind person’s safety is dependent on the alertness of their guide dog. Therefore, dogs are not only loved for their intelligence, loyalty but also for their kindness and "compassion" to their owners :)

DOG WITH A BLOG, A FUNNY SITCOM!

Dog with a Blog is an American television sitcom that premiered on Disney Channel on October 12, 2012. It starsG. Hannelius, Blake Michael, Francesca Capaldi, Stephen Full, Regan Burns, and Beth Littleford. The show was co-created by Michael B. Kaplan, who also co-created Disney XD's I'm In The Band, in which Hannelius, Full, Burns, and Littleford have all previously starred or appeared. On February 4, 2013, Disney Channel renewed the series for a second season. Its average Nielsen rating was 3.4 for season 1. A third season was ordered by Disney on February 4, 2014.

"Dog With a Blog" is a sitcom that is told from the pup's perspective. The show is about a newly blended family led by parents Bennett and Ellen, whose kids -- Tyler, Avery and Chloe -- are trying to adjust to life as stepsiblings. Tyler and Avery are typical teenagers and are slowly learning to communicate with each other. When they discover a secret about the family's recently adopted pet dog, Stan, they decide to keep it a secret -- even from their parents. What is Stan's secret? He talks and blogs. Complicating their attempt to keep the secret is younger sister Chloe, who thinks it's normal to have a talking pooch after she overhears him. But thankfully the parents just chalk it up to Chloe's overactive imagination. As for Stan, he has a knack for getting himself, Tyler and Avery into sticky situations, which helps teach the kids how important family is and how much they need to work together to keep Stan's secret safe.

Husky - the funniest dog ever

Today I'm going to talk about husky - one of the funniest dog in my opinion.

The word Husky originated from the word referring to Arctic people in general, Eskimos , "...known as Huskies, a contraction of Huskimos, the pronunciation given to the word "Eskimos" by the English sailors of trading vessels."Use of Husky is recorded from 1852 for dogs kept by Inuit people.

Husky type dogs originally were landrace breeds kept by Arctic indigenous peoples.DNA analysis has found that Huskies are one of the oldest types of dog, although one researcher "questioned the assignment of dogs to the ancient breed group, saying that any recent crossbreeding with wolves, as has happened with malamutes and Siberian huskies, could make a breed look primitive."

I was lived with my friend, Tom, and he kept an adult husky named Muer. I couldn't forgot how silly he was. Every time I go to the back yard, he will charge to me and jump onto my body. He is an adult husky with 160cm body length. Yea that was like somebody throws a bag of cement onto your face. And Muer is so exciting to 'play' with me, or 'hit' my body. There is one thing I still remember very clear is that husky couldn't remember the route to home. Muer escaped from house several times and he never came back by himself. That cost us hundreds of bucks to bring it back.

CUTE HERO: GUIDE DOGS

Studies show owning a pet or therapy animal offer positive effects psychologically, socially, and physiologically. Guide dogs especially come with a variety of benefits and help in many ways. They give a blind person more confidence, friendship, and security.
Blind people who use guide dogs have increased confidence in going about day-to-day life and are comforted by a constant friend.Companionship offered by a pet helps reduce anxiety, depression, and loneliness. Because dogs offer support, security, and companionship, stress is reduced, which in turn improves cardiovascular health. “A number of studies identify pet ownership as a factor in improved recovery from illness and in improved health in general”. Guide dogs make it easier to get around, resulting in the person getting more exercise or walking more.People are more willing to go places and feel a sense of independence. Meeting people and socializing is easier, and people are more likely to offer a blind person help when there is a guide dog.The dogs lead to increased interaction with other people.
Dogs are seen as “ice breakers” to a conversation and something to talk about. In many cases, guide dogs offer a life changing experience. They are more advantageous than long canes when one is in an unfamiliar place. The dog directs the right path, instead of poking around wondering if you might bump into something. Guide dogs make the experience of the unknown more relaxing.Getting from point A to point B using a guide dog is much faster and safer.Owners of guide dogs share a special bond with their dog.
Many report that the dog is a member of the family, and go to their dog for comfort and support. The dog isn’t seen as a working dog, but more as a loyal friend.

driving with my dog

Pickles
Care to take photographs of your four-legged pal? While advising dog owners to not snap photos while casually hanging out of a car window, stop Studio 1A on Friday to share a few tips on how you can get your own great doggy pics around the house and in the great outdoors.
Don't forget the scene. try to photograph your dog in everyday situations to create the most normal and personality-driven image.
Aim to photograph at the end of the day. Lighting is an important factor when it comes to photography. The light at the end of the day is ideal for photographing any subject.
Lift your dog off the ground. To help your dog stay in one spot, consider elevating him or her off the ground by placing the dog on a chair, bed or other safe spot.
Get cozy. To capture your dog’s expressions, don’t be afraid to come in close with your camera and snap away!

How to take care the Maltese?

I have a smart Maltese, so today I will teach you how to take care the Maltese! There are 6 steps tell you.

Step 1: Maltese dogs have long fur. Therefore, brush your Maltese daily is essential.
Step 2: Brush their teeth. Many people don't do this, but it is very important, especially for older dogs. Use a soft-bristled dog’s toothbrush and toothpaste.
Step 3: Trim their nails. Maltese nails should be clipped daily so they do not overgrow and get infected.
Step 4: Check their ears is very important! Just go along the side of it to clean it. If there is any wax of any sort, be sure to clean it out.
Step 5: Make sure to feed your Maltese in their own feeding area.
Step 6: Maltese dog's will need plenty of walks, so walk your dog is necessary!

Do these steps, your Maltese will always be healthy!

The Golden Retriever

I think most people hearing a movie which is very popular and impressive in Japan. This movie named ’Quill’. Now I would like to introduce more information about this dog which called ‘Golden Retriever’.

The Golden Retriever is a large, strongly built breed with a dense, water-repentant wavy coat. All Golden Retrievers are blonde, yellow, or gold in color and all subtlety are susceptible to the same health problems.

The temperament of the Golden Retriever is a hallmark of the breed, and is described in the standard as "kindly, friendly and confident". They are also make good family pets, particularly as they are patient with children. The typical Golden Retriever is calm, naturally intelligent and biddable, and with an exceptional eagerness to please. It is interesting that they are good at swimming and jumping. The Golden Retriever so smart that they are chosen guide dogs for blind people, or helping to rescuing people from earthquakes and other natural disasters.

The German Shepherd - My Favorite Dog

Hi guys, today I'm going to introduce one of my favorite dog - German Shepherd.
German Shepherds are large sized dogs. The breed standard height at the withers is 60–65 cm (24–26 in) for males and 55–60 cm (22–24 in) for females. German Shepherds have a variety of colors, the most common of which are tan/black and red/black.

I like German Shepherd because of its intelligence. In the book The Intelligence of Dogs, author Stanley Coren ranked the breed third for intelligence, behind Border Collies and Poodles. He found that they had the ability to learn simple tasks after only five repetitions and obeyed the first command given 95% of the time.
(Check out this video and you will find out how amazing a German Shepherd are.)

On the other hand, the German Shepherd are also very popular as working dog. They are especially well known for their police work, being used for tracking criminals, patrolling troubled areas and detection and holding of suspects. Additionally thousands of German Shepherds have been used by the military.

Maltese's character MEJIC1302

Today we are talking about Maltese’s character! They are extremely lively and playful, and even as a Maltese age, their energy level and playful demeanor remain fairly constant. They also adore humans, and prefer to stay near people. Maltese will be happy to sit by your side, hour after hour, while you read a book or watch television. They will also love to accompany you wherever you go. However, Maltese make decent watchdogs and will sound alarms when a stranger comes to the door and they will bark to protect their host. Maltese, despite their diminutive size, are a very hardy dog. Maltese will constantly want to be your right-hand man companion.

If you have a Maltese, please love it. Maltese are beautiful animals and they deserve to be treated with care, and plenty of it. Snuggle with them often, or teach them tricks, as they love learning new things.

Husky

.
I have always dreamed of having a Husky puppy like this for myself. It is one of the dog breeds that I love the most. Let us explore more about this "cool looking" type of dog okay.
The word Husky originated from the word referring to Arctic people in general, Eskimo, known as Huskies. Husky type dogs are energetic and athletic. They usually have a thick double coat that can be gray, black, copper red, or white. Huskies are known for pale blue eyes, although they may also have brown eyes, green eyes, blue eyes, or may even have yellow eyes. Husky-type dogs were originally used to pull sleds and hunt large game. Commonly they are thought to have descended closely from wolves of the region.
The reasons that I love Husky is that they are fast, active and kind of obedient to their owners. Every time I go for a run around my area , I always see a very cute baby Husky being trained by his owner in the park. I heard that it is not easy to raise this type of dog because they usually require more care as compared to others. Still I wish I could keep one like this in my house one day.

THE PODDLE DOG

THE PODDLE DOG
Today I would like to introduce to you guys the most dog I love. According to the research"The Poodle is one of the oldest breeds developed especially for hunting waterfowl. Most historians agree that the Poodle originated in Germany, but developed into his own distinct breed in France." There are three sizes of Poodle: toy, miniature, and standard. These aren't different breeds, just different sizes of the same dog. The Toy Poodle stands up to 10 inches tall, and weighs about six to nine pounds. The Miniature Poodle stands 11 to 15 inches tall and weighs 15 to 17 pounds. The Standard Poodle stands 15 inches and taller and usually 22 inches. Intelligent, loving, loyal, and mischievous are four words Poodle enthusiasts commonly use to describe the breed's personality.  The Poodle also protective of his home and family, and if strangers approach your house, he'll sound a warning bark to let you know. And although he's affectionate with his family, he may take a while to warm up to new people.

Tom - The Best Labrador Ever

Tom is my friend's labrador that lived with me when I was study in Turramurra high school 4 years ago. He is only 10 months old when I met him at first time.

Labrador is the distinct, northerly region of the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador. It comprises the mainland portion of the province, separated from the island of Newfoundland by the Strait of Belle Isle. It is the largest and northernmost geographical region in Atlantic Canada.

Labrador occupies the eastern part of the Labrador Peninsula. It is bordered to the west and the south by the Canadian province of Quebec. Labrador also shares a small land border with the Canadian territory of Nunavut on Killiniq Island.

People always told me that labrador is one of the smartest dog in the world. Yes I believed it after I met Tom. He was bark at me and almost want to kick my ass because he thought I will harm his host. But a few days after I keep feeding him and playing soccer with him. Finally we made friends with each other. And every time he saw me come, he will pick up his soccer ball in his mouth and keep rolling in front of me. Because he wants me play soccer with him. Just like I kick the ball from second floor to the ground floor and he caught it then bring back to me.

Four years past since I leave Tome but I can still remember his bark and everything we did together. Tome is the best labrador ever in my entire life :)

The Maltese

Hi  guys, welcome to our blog " My Dog The Hero". The reason that we have chosen the topic about dogs is that we all love dogs, just simply like that :). In this blog, we are going to talk about some of our favorite dogs, our own experience with them and how they are a hero to many of us. Let us begin the journey by my first post.
I have a dog which is type of Maltese, his name is Kaka. He just a puppy that is only 8 weeks. I love him.

Let me introduce the Maltese, the Maltese is a small breed of dog in the Toy Group. They descend from dogs originating in the Central Mediterranean Area. They are generally peaceful with the world, though some lines (and individuals) are more confident and outgoing, and some are more standoffish or cautious. By the way, the Maltese are very smart dog. They can quickly feel the owner's emotions. However, they are very sensitive; many Maltese excel in competitive obedience and agility. They are notoriously difficult to housebreak--consider an indoor litter box, or a doggy door leading outside to a small covered potty yard. One of the brightest and gentlest of the toys, the Maltese is exceedingly playful and enjoys clever games of dexterity such as "pull the hidden toy from under the cabinet with your paw."
