Golden Retriever
The Golden Retriever is a large-sized breed of dog bred as gun dogs to retrieve shot waterfowl such as ducksand upland game birds during hunting and shooting parties, and were named 'retriever' because of their ability to retrieve shot game undamaged. Golden Retrievers have an instinctive love of water, and are easy to train to basic or advanced obedience standards. They are a long-coated breed, with a dense inner coat that provides them with adequate warmth in the outdoors, and an outer coat that lies flat against their bodies and repels water. Golden Retrie
vers are well suited to residency in suburban or country environments. Although they need substantial outdoor exercise, they should be housed in a fenced area because of their instinctual tendency to roam. The dog sheds copiously, particularly at the change of seasons, and requires fairly regular grooming.
The breed is a prominent participant in conformation shows for purebred dogs. The Golden Retrievers' intelligence makes them a versatile breed and allows them to fill a variety of roles – common ones being guide dog for the blind, hearing dog for the deaf, hunting dog, detection dog, and search and rescue participant. The breed's friendly, gentle temperament means it is unsuited to being a professional guard dog, but its temperament has also made it the third-most popular family dog breed (by registration) in the United States, the fifth-most popular in Australia,[and the eighth-most popular in the United Kingdom.]Golden Retrievers are rarely choosy eaters, but require ample exercise (of two or more hours a day). The breed is fond of play but also highly trainable

Samoyed
Today,I am going to talk
about dog of the Samoyed.
The Samoyed is a gentle dog. Very devoted, easygoing,
friendly and quite playful, it loves everyone. It will gladly be friendly to
all, including intruders. It is too friendly to be of much use as a watchdog,
although its bark will alert you to the presence of strangers. When Samoyed
become bored, it may begin to dig. The breed is characterized by an alert and
happy expression which has earned the nicknames "Sammie smile" and
"smiley dog."
Samoyed can compete in dog agility trials, carting, obedience,
showmanship, fly ball, tracking, mushing and herding events. Herding instincts
and trainability can be measured at noncompetitive herding tests. When this dog
is given what it needs to be a stable-minded dog, i.e. enough mental and
physical exercise, along with clear leadership, it proves itself to be
outstanding, good-natured, lively and sociable.

skill to train
Have you ever been watching professional tennis or golf on TV with a friend and then suddenly heard him blurt, “I swing just like that but that’s not where the ball goes. Those players must have special equipment that makes it work.”
I’m guessing, probably not, unless your friends have mashed potatoes for brains. Most people understand that the reason professionals are able to make consistent and stellar shots is that they have skills that they build up through many hours of practice, coaching, and drills.
However, when it comes to dog training or behavior modification, it’s the complete opposite. Owners will watch a video, such as one on my web site, and say, “I do exactly that but my reactive dog barks and lunges in that situation instead of focusing on me.” What they fail to realize is that training dogs is a technical skill just like dance, golf, tennis, or figure skating. Often when something looks as simple as a sit-spin in ice-skating or a perfectly placed serve in tennis, it’s actually much more complex. It’s not until owners try the techniques under the watchful of eye of a skilled instructor that they find out that the problem is not the dog or the technique, it’s them.

cute dog worth £1,600
A ridiculously cute dog (that looks just like a tiny mini bear) has been stolen from a London home after he became an online hit – racking up over 2.5million views on image site Imgur.
Misiu the Chow Chow dog was bought as a gift by Jamie Green six weeks ago for his girlfriend and was stolen from his home in Stanmore, London on Wednesday this week.
Mr Green told MailOnline: ‘I called his name, but when I went into the kitchen I saw the window was smashed and there was glass everywhere. It started to dawn on me that he might have been stolen.
‘I’m worried that someone saw his picture or his profile online and targeted my house deliberately. I just hope he is being looked after. He is so precious to me.’

Heroic dogs
Hi guys. Dogs are not just a cute pet that is running around in your house or sleeping all day long, they are actually heroes in many cases that make you really thankful and proud of having them in your lives. Today im going to share with you some pretty touching stories about heroic dogs and how they saved lives.
Brutis was a 7 year old golden retriever when he became a hero in 2004. That's when the loveable pooch snatched up a coral snake as it was slithering dangerously close to a young child, suffering a near-deadly bite from the snake in the process. His heroics did not go unnoticed however, as Brutis was promptly flown to Los Angeles to recieve the National Hero Dog award.

In a nearly unbelievably story titled " Dog makes cellphone to save his owner's life , readers learn about Belle, a beagle who literally bit "911" into his owner's cell phone after the diabetic man collapsed from a seizure, who became the first canine to win VITA's Wireless Samaritan Award. Evidently, the pooch had been trained to bite down on the phone's keypad in the event of an emergency.
All dogs are known for their super-sharp hearing, but most of them don't win awards for it. But when Nellie, a 4 year old black lab, used her high powered ears to detect a intruder in time to save her severely deaf owner, it would've been a crime to give the Heroic Hearing Dog of the Year award to anyone else. The charity that trained Nellie couldn't have been more proud.
So take care of your dogs and treat them well if you have one at home because they are deserved to be loved that way!

Guide dogs
Hi guys, another week has almost passed. Today when I was out to chill with my friends, I saw a blind man with a guide dog crossing the road and was thinking of doing some readings about guide dogs, in which ways they are beneficial to visually impaired people and what makes them one of the most beloved pets in the world. This actually added to what has been earlier written by Xinchen in the previous post and for sure, these additional information is pretty interesting as well.
The first guide dog training schools were established in Germany during World War I to enhance the mobility of returning veterans who were blinded in combat. Guide dogs especially come with a variety of benefits and help in many ways.Becoming the ‘seeing eyes’ for the blind and those with low vision, guide dogs play a wonderful role in helping blind people enjoy a certain amount of independence. They give a blind person more confidence, friendship, and security. By having a guide dog, blind people feel much more confident in their daily life and the guide dogs usually act like a close friend to them, accompanying them to anywhere they go. The blind person’s safety is dependent on the alertness of their guide dog. Therefore, dogs are not only loved for their intelligence, loyalty but also for their kindness and "compassion" to their owners :)
